Date: February 6, 2004 Statement From General Wesley Clark On The Kerry Donors Story
Little Rock - General Wesley Clark issued the following statement on today's Associated Press report about Senator Kerry and his campaign donors: "We have seen numerous reports this week documenting that Senator Kerry is part of the inside Washington, politics as usual crowd. This approach to politics that has put political interests before the national interests. "I like Senator Kerry - he's a good man. But we need a president who is not of Washington, from Washington and for Washington. I am running because I don't like the direction that George W. Bush and the Washington politicians have taken our country in. I'm the only candidate in the race who will always stand up to the Washington special interests to do what's right for the country."
