Congressman Martin Frost Is Latest Texas Democrat To Endorse Wes Clark

Dallas, TX - Wes Clark traveled to Dallas today to accept the endorsement of Congressman Martin Frost. Congressman Frost praised Clark for his vision and record of service:

"When you look closely at General Clark's record of courageous service to this nation and his optimistic vision for an even greater America, you see a man who will bring a higher standard of leadership to the White House."

Leadership is something that Congressman Frost knows a lot about: serving his 13th term out of Texas's 24th district, he is the state's senior representative in Congress. Frost is the Ranking Member on the House Rules Committee, and has long been a party leader on national security policy and fiscal responsibility.

Clark noted that Congressman Frost would "serve as an anchor for our national team. I'm very pleased to receive his endorsement. Congressman Frost is a tremendous leader. The people of Texas--and all Americans--are lucky to have him on their side."

Frost joins three other prominent Texas Congressmen in endorsing Clark: Charlie Stenholm, Ranking Member on the House Agriculture Committee; Solomon Ortiz, Dean of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus; and Charlie Gonzalez, Chair of the Hispanic Caucus Civil Rights Task Force.

"It's great to have so many stars on board in the Lone Star State," said Bill Buck, Clark Campaign National Press Secretary.
