October 12, 2003 Clark Campaign Welcomes Graham Staff With Open Arms Clark volunteers and staff greet four key Graham staffers - and their moving van Little Rock, AR: The Clark For President campaign today welcomed four new staff members from Senator Bob Graham's campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination. Four staffers from the former Graham campaign drove up to the Clark For President headquarters in a mini caravan lead by a rental truck filled with their clothes and furniture. The road weary group was greeted by a large contingent of Clark For President campaign staff and volunteers who clapped and cheered the arrival and then broke into a chant of "eight more vans." The smiling new Clark staffers hugged their new co-workers and donned Clark For President buttons as they were led into their new workplace, the Clark For President headquarters in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The Clark staff and volunteers embodied the earlier statement of Gen. Wesley Clark (ret.), "Senator Graham is a great Democrat... I look forward to Senator Graham's advice and counsel as the campaign against George Bush moves forward." The Clark For President campaign welcomes the advice, counsel, and contributions of the four new additions to the Clark family: Jamal Simmons (former press secretary for Graham), Connie LaRossa (assistant press secretary), Robert McLarty (advance director), Jessie Walker (political desk, east US). "As we move ahead in this campaign to unseat George Bush, we look forward to welcoming all Americans into an era of New American Patriotism," said Eli Segal, campaign chairman. |
