General Wesley Clark takes his vision for a New American Patriotism to Phoenix today.

General Wesley Clark will face off with the remaining eight Democratic candidates tonight in one of six debates organized by the Democratic National Committee. Debate watch parties are being organized in more than 50 cities by the Clark Corps, the grassroots Clark movement comprised of tens of thousands of activists and supporters of the Clark for President campaign in all 50 states.

As a retired four-star general, Clark has been a vocal supporter of multi-lateralism and a critic of the current administration's handling of national security and the war in Iraq.

"President Harry Truman built the United Nations. Even though after World War II, we were the only power still standing. We knew we needed friends and allies in the world to help us bear the burdens of leadership, and right the wrongs," General Clark said Friday at the DNC fall meeting. "And we believe in a strong military. We've got the best-trained, best-prepared, strongest armed forces in the world. And that's the way they'll stay. But we know one thing also. Use force only, only, only, as a last resort."

Clark's vision for America has inspired a rapidly growing number of supporters across the country.

"This New American Patriotism is not just about waving the flag and guarding our borders," General Clark said. "It's about guarding what makes us distinctive as Americans - our personal liberties, our right to debate and dissent. We are not a country that manipulates facts, ignores debate, and stifles dissent."

Since the Democratic debate last month, Clark has been criss-crossing the country promoting his plan for America both at home and abroad.

In the short life of the campaign, General Clark has raised $3.5 million dollars, opened a national headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas, integrated thousands of grassroots supporters, and laid out an aggressive plan to put Americans back to work.

"My Job Creation Plan will directly fund job creation in a fiscally responsible way," Clark said in September. "Fiscal discipline requires not only reducing the deficit. It requires moving money from areas where it isn't advancing national goals, and directing it to areas where it is. So I will reduce the tax cuts Mr. Bush gave the richest households - those making more than $200,000 a year, and directs that money to three job-creating funds."

Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and the Arizona Democratic Party will host tonight's forum.

It can be seen on CNN at 8 pm EDT.
