Dear Friends,
Like most American families, we look forward to sharing the joys of the holiday season. And around this time of year, we find ourselves reflecting on the past and looking forward to the coming year.
As families across America gather to share the joys of the season, our hearts go out to our soldiers who are defending our country far from home. We pray for their safe return.
During our 34 years as a military family, we celebrated Christmas at bases throughout America and around the world. This year, we will spend Christmas in California with our son, Wes, and his wife, Astrid.
In the coming days, they are due to have a son of their own. We wonder what kind of world this will be for our grandson.
We want him to enjoy the kind of life we were given. We want our grandson to live in a world where neighbors look out for each other, both across the street and across the ocean. We want him to grow up in an America that is safe and strong. We want to give our grandson the promise of a brighter future.
Together, we can create a better America for our children, for our grandchildren, and for generations to come.
In this season of hope, we pray for a better tomorrow.
Happy Holidays,
Gert and Wes Clark
