Anyone who volunteers on behalf of Clark for President should be aware of laws that may apply to them under Federal Election Commission law.

The Federal Election Commission was formed in 1975 to administer and enforce the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) which governs financing of federal elections. The FEC is an independent regulatory agency that enforces public disclosure of campaign contributions and campaign expenditures. The FEC also oversees public funding of presidential campaigns.

No volunteer may be paid by another employer to volunteer on behalf of Clark for President. Make sure the time you spend volunteering for Clark for President is on your own time and not done while you are working for another job. Employers may not compensate you for work done on Clark for President.

Never take a check on behalf of Clark for President unless you are an authorized agent of the campaign. If you are approached with someone who wants to contribute, hand them an official Clark for President donor form and ask them to mail their contribution check with the official donor form to P.O. Box 2959 Little Rock, AR 72203.

There are a number of ways you can help raise funds for Clark04. Clark for President encourages grassroots organizers to host Open House fundraisers in their homes. Please make sure that you have thoroughly read the rules and regulations for Open House parties and have rsvp’d your party with Clark for President.
